‘Anne and I were matched for an interdisciplinary art project but instead of doing the project we became close friends that very instant. It strikes me how Anne’s clothes always imply a certain gesture, a choreography almost, very elegant and subtle.
One day Anne came by my atelier where I was decoloring printed images and she was fascinated by the emerging ‘undercolors’. She then applied this technique to fabrics and in the end I wore one of the results to the opening of my show. There is always a dialogue going on between us’.
